night spots las vegas

Vegas is one of the best places in the world to party the night away and is a veritable hotbed of wild nightclubs and thrilling nightlife. If you’re ready to get out and hit the clubs, here is a guide to some of the best in this party city. As “Star Trek” actor Chris Pine once said, “Sometimes I think I need to get crazy. Go to Vegas!”

If you’re looking for an intimate club experience, Jewel is the one for you. The brainchild of the Hakkasan Group (the guys behind Omnia and Hakkasan Nightclub), this opulent venue beats its sister clubs into a cocked hat. With a dance floor that is surrounded by VIP granite banquettes featuring leather upholstery and enormous LED double-sided video screens that sync in time to the music, this is an amazing place to dance the night away.

First prize to anyone who guesses what 1OAK stands for. … Yes, it’s 1 Of A Kind (That isn’t strictly true since there’s another branch in NYC). This fun nightspot may have an incredibly long entryway, but it’s well worth walking the extra distance, especially if you’re a keen dancer. The dance floor here is amazing, with the entire club being designed around it. True, this isn’t the place to be a wallflower. But, if you’re ready to hit the floor, it’s perfect for you.

MGM Grand – Hakkasan

The big sister of Jewel, Hakkasan is a serious contender for the top club in Vegas. This enormous venue is home to some of the world’s top DJs (think Steve Aoki, Calvin Harris, and Tiesto), and the sound here is astronomical. This is THE place to say you’ve been if you’re stopping off for a night on the Strip.

You may not be able to afford that trip to Europe just yet, but you can have the next best thing at the Hyde Bellagio. You’ll think you’re partying in Italy among the Italian-inspired décor with its old-world details, such as marble tiling, chandeliers, and paintings. A few steps away from the most famous fountains in the world, this is certainly a top-end venue. Refinement and elegance are all the rage here, and the bar has an impressive mixology program, so you’re guaranteed an amazing drink. You certainly won’t be served any substandard booze here – it’s handcrafted cocktails all the way.

Mandalay Bay – Light

Tripadvisor Rating: 4

The closest thing you’ll get to a party at a Cirque du Soleil show, Light at Mandalay Bay is a feast for the senses. There are no go-go dancers here. Instead, you’ll be treated to some world-class entertainment with aerial acrobatics paired with themed tableaux, all complemented by stunning makeup and costumes and high-tech visuals. The immersive performances make you really feel like you’re in the show yourself, and it’s extra trippy after a few drinks. The best of a club together with the best of a show – what’s not to love?

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas – Marquee

The Cosmopolitan itself is pretty amazing, so as you can expect, it’s nightclub is truly beyond the pale. Marquee is enormous, with a main club area, and a number of other spaces that we’ll come to in a moment. The main area has plenty to drink, a great dance floor and rad tunes. But, if you’re looking for more intimacy, head to the Boombox for more privacy. Or perhaps the Library is more suited to the evening you had in mind – and we don’t mean the one you remember from school.

Caesars Palace – Omnia

Address: 3570 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Tripadvisor Rating: 4

Another venue from the famous Hakkasan Group, Omnia is substantially bigger than the intimate Jewel and is a serious rival for Hakkasan at MGM’s crown. Opened in 2015, Omnia has changed the Strip’s clubbing scene forever. From the seriously impressively LED chandelier as you enter to the velvet curtains and mirrored panels, this place is certain to wow no matter how much champagne you’ve had, and you can even party outdoors on the patio with its panoramic views.

The Venetian – Tao Nightclub

Whatever your favorite beat, you’ll be able to get down to it here, and if you’re feeling hungry, no problem. Just head downstairs to nibble on a lobster wonton at the Tao Restaurant.

Tripadvisor Rating: 4

If you’re ready to spend the night at one of the world’s most expensive nightclubs ever constructed, XS is the one for you. You can tell that this is a seriously luxurious venue from the moment you walk in – there’s gold everywhere. Opulence and total extravagance can be found everywhere you look, from gold female statuettes to expensive lighting. However, it’s the practical details that really set this club ahead of the competition. The bars are enormous, so you won’t be fighting to get a drink, and the huge dance floor has enough space for you to strut your stuff without bumping into everyone. Yes, it’s appropriately named, since everything is supersized. If you’re wanting a little more intimacy, head towards the pool area where there’s a private space that’s just perfect for a quiet chat.

In French, the word chateau means castle, and, indeed, this club is certainly palatial enough to deserve its name. With its fancy chandeliers and French-style patio with a lovely view over the Strip, this venue is incredibly popular with the young bachelorette crowd. Over two floors, this may not be the newest or most luxurious club on the Strip, but it feels very European with a sophisticated, sultry appeal without ever compromising on the fun.

Tripadvisor Rating: 5

Appropriately named, Surrender at the Wynn Las Vegas is all about giving in to temptation. The distinguishing feature of this venue has to be the enormous snake behind the bar, and the interior design by Roger Thomas is just impeccable in this intense club. The outdoor area is probably the best feature here, with cabanas boasting fantastic views over the strip. There’s also easy access to the gaming area, where you can indulge your passion for gambling if your money is burning a hole in your pocket. Clean, spacious, and with an electric atmosphere, you’ll love to Surrender to this gem of the Vegas club scene.
